I plan on visiting Sri Lanka this year for 3 weeks touring around the island.

Hi,

You have just missed the best time of the year. There has been hardly no rain in the western parts of Sri Lanka.

It will probably stay like this until mid April, but the chance of getting shower will get greater the closer you get.

It has been hot (31-33 C) and will stay like that or get even hotter.

The next period where you will experience hot and dry weather will be from mid July to end August, though the chance of some showers will be greater than January-April.
