Besides December to April, July-August is the best time of the year to visit the west coast of Sri Lanka.
You can expect at least 6 hours a day, so take care that you don%26#39;t get burnt instead of tanned. The UV-factor in Sri Lanka is 9+ year round. There will also be showers in July, mainly late afternoons/evenings.
