We stayed at the jetwing Beach hotel in Negombo for two weeks. Lovely hotel.
Whilst staying there we took the opportunity to hire a local guide and we found a gem in Erickson Tissera. He has his own air conditioned bus and he took us on two separate day trips. His English is fluent and his local knowledge is superb. We found him really friendly and welcoming, keen to show us the real Sri Lanka. He took us on a day trip to see the elephant orphanage and to Kandy to the Temple of the Tooth and the Botanical Gardens. We also went on a second trip to Dhambulla and Sigirya. These trips were fantastic and the memories will stay with us for a very long time.
We would most certainly recomend Erickson as a really friendly and knowledgeable guide for trips around Negombo and further afield. We found him really happy to tailor trips around our needs.
