Kani Lanka Resort & Spa

I am staying at the Kani Lanka from 25th Feb for two weeks to get married and have our honeymoon. Have been told that the hotel is fully booked now during these dates. Is anyone else going there? Do you have any tips? Would be nice to know some other people beforehand.

Hi Kirsty, When you get there you will have a great time ,You will meet lots of people in the hotel . I dont know the hotel but you can check it out on this site. We have a local friend who lives down that road. We have just come back as we got envited to his daughters 14th birthday. on the 4 nov. I will speak to him tommorow and ask about the hotel. Will let you know.

I can%26#39;t help you with your questions but I am in the same situation as you I am going to The Kani Lanka in April to get married and I think I am feeling the exact same things as you.... What will it be like? Will my dress be ok? Will the hair and make up look good? will the hotel be what I expected?

I have emailed a couple of people on the forum regarding weddings and it%26#39;s a mixed message I%26#39;m afraid one person said the Clarins make up was good and the other said it was dreadful! I suppose you colud give it a go and wash it off if you don%26#39;t like it! but everyone is different and we all like different things I%26#39;m going to give it a go when I go out there - why not! One person did say to have all of your documents with you including any receipts for extras as they may try to charge you again for them!

I wish you all the luck in the world with your wedding out there and if you pick up any tips while out there will you let me know.

Thank you so much. Am going to do hair and make up myself I think. Why not book yourself in Debenhams or Boots for a free one before you go and they will show you how to get the results you want. I have had Dior and Estee Lauder ones in the past and are helpful.

I just have silly worries that the hotel will be a dive or something, or the photos wont be good.

I will message you when I get back and show you the pics etc and give you any pointers of what you might need to look for.

You can always visit your hairdresser before you go and get them to show you how to do your hair. I am going to mine this Friday and we have 30 days left til we leave for Sri Lanka. Ahhhhhhhh!

CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding how did it go? Tell all...... did you like the hotel was it as good as it says in the brocheur. How did your wedding plans go, did it all run smoothly? What were your photos like? What was the weather like when you were over there? Did you go on any trips?

One thing bugging me does the hotel supply towels for when you are down by the pool/Beach? Daft really but it%26#39;s less to pack ha ha! What was the beach like?
