Tours from Negombo?

My husband and i will be staying at the Beach hotel in Negombo for our honeymoon in september. We are there for a week and we%26#39;re keen to see as much of the place as possible. We%26#39;d love to see Sigiria, Pinnewela and Kandy (although some might be too far away for a day trip). Can anyone recommend a local tour operator that we can contact once we%26#39;re there with a view to getting better value than the holiday company provided tours and possibly a bit more say on the itinerary? Thanks for your help.

Have a chat with the experts (Travellerguy, Hans, Erik, RodB etc) and people like Susie who although isn%26#39;t a ';registered'; expert has been there quite a few times.

They%26#39;ll have drivers they%26#39;ve used time and time again so they are the people to listen to.

Travellerguy recommended a driver to me and he was absolutely fantastic. I%26#39;m not going to add to your already overflowing inbox (!!), but if you%26#39;d like his name, send me a message and I%26#39;ll let you have his email addy, website address and phone number. He speaks perfect english and is a top chap!!

Thanks Faceman - i%26#39;ll brace myself for the incoming!! I could be asking for trouble but any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks for your pointers.

... and people like yourself John! You are fired with the same enthusiasm for Sri Lanka that I have, which is completely infectious when you have been there and seen the country for yourself. You are another guy to add to the list of regular contributors these days I reckon!!
