Update from First Choice

I never been on this website for a while, so imagine my concern when I logged on last night to find out about FC and Sri Lanka.

Anyway, We%26#39;ve done some checking today, we were booked to go on the 28th July 2009 from Gatwick.

As First Choice do not now fly to Sri Lanka at the times we booked, we have been informed that we are on a Sri Lankan Airways flight out of Heathrow (Same day)28th July 2009

Outbound 28th July

Originally 18:15 Depart 09:40 arrive

Now 21:25 Depart and 13:30 Arrive

Return 12th Aug

Originally 11:40 depart 18:25 arrive

Now 13:15 arriv 19:45

Ive checked the airplane details, its an Airbus A340 - 300, and the seats have a 32 - 34 pitch.

28 July UL 508 LHR-CMB 21:35 - 12:50

12 August UL 503 CMB-LHR 13:15 - 20:15

I would not trust times 100% as SriLankan Airlines (not Airways) have changing their timetables (esp. to/from Heathrow) several times over the last month or so.

I can get no where with FC we go on 18th Aug and my travel agent can not even get an answer around our flights(FC travel agents).

No. they didnt contact us, we rang them

Sorry to be a pain but did you book on line or through a travel agent as when i rang FC they wouldn%26#39;t talk to me as I didnt book on line.

No problems, nothing a pain.

We booked through a FC Hypermarket.

I phoned thomsons this morning, they sent the letter to me, but not even the assistant manager knew of this problem, its a joke, a premier agent like First Choice falling into german hands %26lt;TUI%26gt; AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS!! IS tHOMSON GOING TO PAY FOR MY CAB TO HEATHROW!! i think not, complain to watchdog, see if that helps. i will not be using a TUI owned company again, its a disgrace!

we are travelling 1st sept.received a call from f/c agent,%26amp; also a follow up letter,with flight times etc.wehen i phoned customer service,to confirm hotel hadnt changed,they knew straight away about flight change.hotels,reps %26amp; transfers all remain the same.hope this helps. keith

iwas going on the 25 august 2weeks i have just had a phone call cancelling my holiday was offerd sri lankan airway i declined and was given my deposit back .

i have now booked with mercury direct for 2 weeks going on friday 28 august 2weeks all inc 4* club palm bay 拢850

going with kingfisher airlines 1 stop in india change to smaller plane for the 1.20mins flight to sri lanka

check out airline and reviews on airline aqaulity all passengers give 9 or ten for travel and service and given 5* buy airline review board check them out .
