Weather in May

Hi, thinking of going to Sri Lanka in May this year, slightly put of as its moonsoon season, should we still go?? really want too but dont want the weather to be a problem, please help.

First half of May should be ok, with risk of hefty downpours late in afternoon and evening times, second half?, well definately getting wetter by the day, but unlikely to rain all day..

Monsoon by the way means wind and not rain !

when you are coming to Sri Lanka in May, dont forget to bring raincoats and umbrellas, but its not sure about the weather, it changes always. The rain also not cold, but its a little warm.
