I know this hotel is on it%26#39;s own so there are no bars/restaurants around, but can someone please tell me how long it will take in a taxi to reach the nearest bars/restaurants etc. I know this is an AI hotel, but we do like to have a drink/food out sometime and don%26#39;t really want to be travelling for ages. Hi Linda,

To have a good selection of restaurants and bars you need to go to Negombo - 23 km to the south. That will take about 30 minutes by car/van and about 45 minutes by tuk tuk.

Thanks for your prompt reply. We don%26#39;t need a ';good'; selection of bars/restaurants - just the odd one here and there would do fine. We are normally quite happy sitting around a hotel/beach but it would be good to try a different bar - just for a change of scenery. If we got a tuk tuk/cab would we find anything within say 10 minutes or so or is there literally nothing between the hotel and Negombo? Sorry to ask so many questions.

There are few other hotels in Marawila, e.g. Olenka Sunside Beach Hotel, Hotel Sanmali Beach and Aquarius Sports Resort Hotel.
