Can anybody give any good feedback from staying in Udawalawe %26amp; Hotel Centauria, out tour itenary is to stay here two nights, but i%26#39;ve not read any good reviews on hotel yet.

Hi there,

we stayed at The Centuria whilst visiting Udawalawe last July.

I%26#39;m afraid it doesn%26#39;t get great reviews on TA.Maybe it is because the standard of the other hotels is so good.

The Centuria is a bit basic -however the accomodation was better than I had anticipated.Our rooms were clean and quite large.The shower room was quite adequate.

The food wasn%26#39;t great but it wasn%26#39;t awful either. I don%26#39;t think they provide towels there for the swimming pool which we would have used when we were there as it was so hot- so may be an idea to pack some in your case if there is room.

I also was very dissapointed that we were staying there as we should have been staying at Yala which looked lovely.

We weren%26#39;t there for very long and it did not detract from the overall excellence of the tour.

So long as you go prepared that isn%26#39;t going to be the best hotel stay of your trip and enjoy the safari it should be fine.
