sri lanka or mombassa??

To all the wise and wonderful trip advisers out there. We (2 adults and 1 16yr old)can%26#39;t quite decide on where to spend new year this year. We are looking at either the Voyager beach Mombasa or the Club Hotel Dolphin Sri Lanka.

We have read EVERY topic on the forums and are still stuck the positives for each place are equal to the negatives

please help guys any inf you can give is greatly appreciated.

We like to relax, enjoy both beach and pool, what is the differance between hotels %26amp; beaches?

Having taught and lived in kenya for 12 months, my vote would be Mombassa. However I love Sri Lanka so much, i am returning this summer. If you want to see culture and experience real traditional native life, you should go to Kenya as I felt to experience culture you ahve to travel in Sri Lanka. If you are willing to travel the culture and sightseeing opportunities in Sri Lanka are fantastic.!.

The beaches were nicer in Sri Lanka however more to do/see in Mombassa.

However whatever you decide you will have a great time two countries with beautiful, friendly, caring, loving people.

Where as I cant tell you about Sri Lanka, Im going in July to that one.

I was at the Voyager two years ago, one word ';Brilliant';.

The Voyager is literally on the beach, look over the wall by the pool, steps to the beach, and the Indian Ocean. The food was great, plenty to do, Safari is a must, we went up to Tsavo East for a couple of days.

Im sure both would be good, hence why were going to the Dolphin, now that our flights have been sorted, this year.

Hy iv been to both places.stayed at both hotels.I loved both countries and the Voyager was lovely,they will organise safaries for you.When we went we had it all arranged by our travel agent but its much cheaper when you get there.We went go Sri lanka and loved it.The peolpe are amazing and theres lots to do and see.We stayed at Club Dolphin only one night just be fore coming home and it was horrid.Think butlins holiday camp.Try Neptune or Browns beach.If you want any more advice please dont hesitate.

not been to sri lanka as yet so can,t compare been to kenya and loved safari did a 3 nite safari to tsavo east,west and ambosseli and did hot air ballon ride while in ambosseli it was amazing saw so many animals as for the rest of kenya was,nt so keen maybe that,s because we stayed at travellers hotel the hotel it self was lovely but although right on the beach no one used the beach due to so much hassle.

We dream of going to Kenya but its so expensive from Australia. You are lucky you have packaged deals from the UK as I used to be a travel agent in the UK and know how cheap they can be.

Maybe toss a coin. Do Sri Lanka this year and Kenya the next or vice versa.

We want to stay at the Turtle Beach Club if we go to Kenya and go to both Ambrosi and Masa Mara on Safari.
