The lighthouse hotel is a nice place. I liked it a lot. we, myself and my wife did some tours from there when we were in Sri Lanka the first time.

you can do day tours as well as some tours as twoday or three day tours too. sent a Pm regarding that.

If it is Early August, then a trip to Kandy would be nice, it being the Festival Time.
