Thanks Erik %26amp; Nishantha for ur replies. I hv a couple more to ask :). We plan to visit Kandy-Colombo and Bentota with our itenary being

day 01 - Airport-Kandy, day 02- Kandy-Colombo, day 03 Colombo-Bentota and day 04 Bentota to Colombo. We are 4 adults and a child. Should we hire a car with driver for all these days or take taxis? which is cheaper? Also can u let me know good car rental agencies?

Hi there,

Car with driver is lots cheaper. Individual taxis have an empty return ride to calculate and hence would use around Rs 40-50 per km, a roundtrip car would calculate Rs 30-35. For sedan, in your case I%26#39;d suggest a minivan which is maybe Rs 5/km more expensive.

The cars/drivers can be booked with agencies like Hemtours or Walkers Tours or with freelance. Quite a few freelance ones have been mentioned in the forum; PM me if you want to have the details of %26#39;our%26#39; favourite driver. (Who, in this case, would have to leave his sedan and arrange a minivan.)
