Hi All





We have just checked our account and all the money we paid to First Choice has been returned. Strangely though it has been paid on 4 separate transactions . 2 First Choice and 2 Thomson. Why not all through 1 account makes me wonder!!!!!!!





Anyway that fiasco is over and we can look forward to going to Sri lanka in May.





Thanks for all advice over the last few days if it hadnt been for the people on TA we would be non the wiser about our cancelled flights with First Choice.

when are you going? we have booked through them too and still being told that they have not cancelled our holiday for 21st July??!! We are worried by all the info on here that they will not tell us until 56days before departure? any advice?

We are going on the 5th May. we have booked with Mercury Direct now. the pre departure number is 08716649207, this is the number given us when we originally phoned to enquire. perhaps you will be ok but I would keep checking with them on a regular basis.

They haven%26#39;t cancelled the holiday, the holiday is still there , its the flight that have been cancelled. they asked us if we wished to cancel, they wont offer an alternative of refund until 56 days before. But we didnt want to wait and see. They told Mick on the phone the other day that he had been hasty and that they were still looking at alternative carriers. But they have told the Dolphin Hotel(where we are going) that they have secured the flights with Sri Lankan airways. So I just dont know what to believe. Im just glad we have booked with another operator.
