First Choice Are no longer flying to Sri Lanka

I have just spoken to First Choice and they are no longer flying to Sri Lanka even though last week they told me the holiday was safe.

They are sending out letters on mass to all their customers to advise of the cancellation.

I for one will never travel with First Choice again

First Choice Are no longer flying to Sri Lanka

Hi there...

I relayed all this news about First Choice/ Thompson to some good friends of mine in the hotel and tourism industry in Sri Lanka, they as yet have NOT been told about any cancellations by these companies, BUT are not surprised if true as they do not have a lot of faith in them !Quote: Not Reliable, and Bullying !

They will get back to me in a few days time with answers to this.

Regards

Dave

TRY $10 jmc holidays

try the Sri lanka based ones such as Jetwing, or Reddot, or others you can find using Google or similar.

but seriously have a look at the other threads/topics on here (and elsewhere) about ';anybody other than First Choice or Thomsons';.

How do these companies get customers?

Do you know as of what date these flights are being cancelled by First Choice? Im due to fly out to Sri Lanka on March the 25th to stay at Club Hotel Dolphin !!?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Hi,

As per FC website last flight from Gatwick to Colombo is 22th April.

Hi all,

Today I have been assured by First Choice via the travel agent we have used that all flights up to and including 8th April are still going. Apparently this is still part of the winter schedule, and it is all the summer flights that have been cancelled.

So all been well anyone going before this date should be ok, sorry for anyone who has booked to travel after this date. (think I would double check with First Choice to see whats what)

been called by fc today and they have our tickets and said there is nothing to worry about we go 11.03
