We have booked a holiday to go to sri lanka in july of this year, it was a spur of the moment thing and we didnt know much about the country before we booked it; just how beautiful it was. looking at the websites now, it seems that we are going in the monsoon season? i was wondering if this is going to be a big problem and run the holiday or if the weater will still be ok ?

Yes, July is Monsoon season, but WAIT !, take a look in the dictionary and you will find that the word Monsoon means wind and not rain ok !

Was there last July, and the weather was ...., well really good actually, one or two light rain showers in the whole time i was there in July, and they were all in late afternoon and evening time.

So.., stop worrying July is a good time to visit Sri Lanka, so enjoy it ok !

Hi again....

What i said in a recent reply here on TA about RPBH was that when i stayed there i did not think it was up to what it was pretending to be, and that is 5 star.

After i put my review on here, i received a mail from the General Manager there to ask me to put into more details my concerns, this i did almost straight away, recent reviews about RPBH would seem to suggest that some of those concerns have now been looked at !

Maybe something you should know here?, i will be going back to Sri Lanka soon, and that same General Manager has ';invited'; me for dinner!, maybe i will take up his offer to see if things really have improved, not decided yet though !

It does appear that the oppinions expressed in the reviews are changeing, and people seem to be momre impressed that those who went a little while ago.

That was nice of him to invute you to dinner, hah, your views obviously made quite an impression him that he feels the need to prove to you that things have changed!
