Flying to Sri Lanka by Emirates

Hi, Can anpone tell me if you fly all the way to Columbo by Emirates or have to change planes in Dubai where I know we have to land. What are the facilities on the Emirates flights.

we,re also flying with emirates from birmingham and you change planes at dubai,there is tv,s on each seat showing 600 channels of flims and games etc,and all inclusive drinks

we flew to SL from Newcastle last June using Emirates we had a three hour stopover in Dubai and changed planes plenty to see in the airport also has an Irish bar selling UK beer.

the flight was one of the best we have been on nice polite staff and as much free drink as you want.

we are going back to SL again this June.

Hi, we are flying emirates from Manchester in May, there is a 2 hour stop in Dubai, not sure if we change planes but it is the same flight number on the details we received from Mercury . On the way back we have opted to stopover for two nights in Dubai.

Emirates is a good airline with average to excellent service. Usually the food is good, with 2 choices of main course. Drinks are free and plentiful during the flight. Most flights have ICE (Information, Communication, Entertainment) with over 600 channels on demand. If you fly from/to Heathrow you might experience the brand new ICE digital widescreen with over 1000 channels on Airbus 380 flights.

Do not buy duty free liquids and gels in UK unless they are delivered in a Security Tamper-Evident Bag. Otherwise they will will not be allowed through security in Dubai. Anyway, duty free will most likely be cheaper in Dubai, too.

If the details from Mercury show the same flight number all the way from Manchester to Colombo, they are not correct. Flight from Manchester to Dubai is EK018 and flight from Dubai to Colombo is EK650. And you definitely change planes as inbound/outbound flights are different plane types.

Harald can be found on the beach, if you can%26#39;t find him, Blackie works with him. They provide all the same tours as the reps, only cheaper. We used him last year and found him very good.
