we,re staying at browns beach hotel do they put any beds on the beach if not how much is it to rent a bed out on the beach

Hi there...

Highly unlikely that hotels in Sri Lanka would put sun beds/loungers out on the beach, would be in and around the grounds and pool areas, charge?? FREE !

Reason they don%26#39;t put these out on the beaches is , beaches mostly are open to the public and the Beach Boys ect can be a ';pain'; and will not leave you alone, also of course likely to go missing too !

beach sounds a little like kenya the hotel was next to beach but no beds due to hassle of the sellers,lots of beds on goa beaches despite the sellers but you got use to the sellers and was all part of the fun.

Hi , don%26#39;t think you will get a lounger on the beach as Dave says, but the hotel grounds open directly on the beach and they will move the loungers around to suit you. The Negombo beach sellers seemed quite laid back compared to other areas. Many had worked the same strip of beach for years and apparently were licensed by the local council. Not sure how true this is but they did all have different coloured shirts depending which bit of beach they worked. Compared to Ahungalla there were a lot more tourists so maybe business was better in Negombo? Typing this wearing my Sri Lanka

Jetting of back down to HA in 3 weeks time, and staying for thier New Year too, hopefully weather will be a little better than last time, although i guess it will be of you 2 won%26#39;t be there !!

Have a great trip Dave and say Hi from us. Heading the opposite direction next weekend - 2 weeks ski-ing in Fernie, Canada so hoping for bad weather- lots of cold and snow!!

Hi Andy...

I am sure that if last November is anything to go by then you are sure to take bad weather with you !, only kidding of ocurse.

Have a great trip to Canada, it is a fab place to go, i have relations there up in The Rockies, and really i should go and see them again soon, but will wait till the summer comes along, it really is VERY cold there right now, and yes LOTS of snow too !
