Online Check In Service with Qatar Airways

Morning!

I wondered if anyone has used the online check in service with Qatar Airways flying from Heathrow? We are due to fly out on the 31st March and I wondered if this is worth doing. Also, may seem like a daft question but if we get emergency exit seats (we will try to as hubby is tall) do you still get the TV screens etc for in-flight entertainment?

Anyone who%26#39;s flown with them before and can help?

Hi Zoe,

a) Did not use with QR but with other airlines. Always found it VERY helpful as it more or less guarantees the seats that you want without needing to be at airport 3-4 hours in advance.

b) Yes, all seats have personal TV. Those in emergency rows or the front row have them usually as fold-out from the armlegs.

That%26#39;s great - thanks Erik and Sandya! If we check in online, how early would we need to arrive at the airport then? Our flight is due to leave at 21.30.

Hi again,

I%26#39;d still take 2 hours. Not because of check-in (that will be quick, the luggage drop-off counter) but because of the infamous security check queues at Heathrow. Will have to endure them at least a few times this year and they%26#39;re not really amongst the best airport in this respect. Must admit though that in the evenings they%26#39;re usually less so maybe you could gamble for 90 mins.
