Browns Beach will be able to point you in right direction for kids orphange ect, and i am sure that there is one that they sponsor too.

Better to buy things locally once you arrive, not only better for luggage allowances ect, anything you buy would be considerably cheaper too, plus of course you are helping local shop owners too !

There are two Childrens Orphanages in Negombo kochchikade, Velihena. Its also divided into two with Girls and Boys. It will be 3 or 4 KM from the Browns Beach Hotel to That Orphanage. But there is no orphanage near browns beach hotel.
