Is there a public internet access anywhere near Gampaha please and if so can one give location please

Hi Ian,

The town has quite a bunch of %26#39;communications centres%26#39;, most near the station but also scattered over the suburbs. Most offer %26#39;e-mail%26#39; (Internet access). Some DSL and some dial-up; DSL is not necessarily better in afternoons and evenings because the centre owner might have managed to cram 15-20 connections on ONE %26#39;home use%26#39; line. In mornings (no school students) it%26#39;s lovely though, and generally cheaper than dial-up. Good price for DSL is Rs 2-4 /minute, dial-up Rs 10+/minute.

Just general guidelines; last time I passed through Gampaha was some 2 years back and the exact comms centre situation can change by the month...

Hi Ian,

Gamapaha post office provide internet and email facilities. Also as erik mentioned there are lot of internet cafes and communication centers in Gampaha.
