lara
help please
Hi Lara,
1) Car with driver. Not cheapest but most flexible and luxury. Count for around Rs 35/km for a roundtrip hire and Rs 55-60/km for one-way.
2) Too many to mention. Roughly, next to beaches,
a) Cultural Triangle (around Sigiriya)
b) Kandy including Pinawela
c) Hill Country
d) A safari park in a) or near south coast
These together take 7-10 days for seeing them well enough.
3) Presently southwest, between Wadduwa and Matara. Sunny mornings and some clouds-rains later in afternoon.
Greetings from (now) sunny Colombo, tomorrow at Unawatuna,

help please
I have to disagree with the previous post.
Snorkeling at Wadduwa, Kalutara and Bentota as well as Negombo is not recommended as you will only see the sandy bottom.

Hi lara
1) If you are in Negombo you can use the Hotel Taxi Association which provides a Tourist Facilitator/Driver. It is there for every hotel in Negombo.
2) Kandy Trip [Pinnawala, Botanical Garden, Tooth Temple]
Culture Triangle [Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Nalanda Gedige]
Hill country tour
and many more.
3) Hikkaduwa, Unavatuna, Trinco [Nillavali Pigion island]

Hi Lara,in answer to your questions the best way to travel in Sri Lanka is by taxi, usually (mini vans)for longer distances or tuk tuk for shorter journeys. If you intend to sightsee i highly reccomend you hire a car and driver. The cost of hiring a car/driver is quite cheap.Use only reputable travel companies. The main places to visit are Sigyria Rock/The temple of the tooth (Kandy)/Worlds endand the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela .if possible the cultural triangle.A lot depends on your time and budget .Traveling around Sri Lanka can be slow . The best beaches are at this point in time on the suoth west coast.Try Mirissa,Unawatuna or nearer to Colombo Hikkaduwa,Bentota.I have been to Sri Lanka Lots of times and have yet to be dissapointed. The local people are kind and friendly.I also suggest you get a good travel guide i.e. Lonely Planet or Rough Guide.Have a great holiday, hope this has been of use Allen ,B.
Hi every one鈥?.
