Hi there...

Around ! 160 Rupees to the Pound, depending in where you go, hotels would pay MUCH less than this.

Last August it was 220 Rupees to a Pound, but then the dreaded credit cruch set it !

oanda is only an indicator.

Better look at Sri Lanka Central Bank rates for telegraphic transfers.

That%26#39;s about the rate you get using ATMs. Deduct 2-3 rupees when exchanging cash Pounds.
